Is The Stock Market Open The Day After Thanksgiving?

After a day off for Thanksgiving, is the stock market closed for Black Friday as well? No, but it'll only be open for a few hours.

The Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange both shutter at 1 p.m. ET, giving you a two-and-a-half day trading break.

And futures and options traders can consult the CME Globex holiday calendar for the nitty-gritty on what closes when from Wednesday through Friday.

Looking ahead, the stock market will be closed for Christmas on Dec. 25 and New Year's on Jan. 1, both Mondays. The full New York Stock Exchange holiday schedule and trading hours for 2017 and 2018 are available on its website.
