JOHANNESBURG, Feb 13 (Reuters) - South Africa on Tuesday declared drought a national disaster after reassessing the "magnitude and severity" in three drought-stricken provinces, including the area around Cape Town.
South Africa is battling a drought that is part of a wider climate change pattern seen around the country. The Western Cape, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape provinces have been worst hit.
