Shutterstock photo(RTTNews.com) - French shares extended losses from the previous session on Wednesday as geopolitical tensions continued to simmer and investors waited for the outcome of the European Central Bank's (ECB) policy meeting, scheduled for Thursday.
The benchmark CAC 40 was down 8 points or 0.16 percent at 5,078 in late opening deals after declining 0.3 percent in the previous session.
Banks traded mixed after the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield fell to a 10-month low of 2.054 percent amid dovish discussion from two Fed officials.
