Alphabet Reportedly Considers $1 Bln Investment In Lyft

(RTTNews.com) - Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL, GOOG) has held talks with Lyft Inc. about a potential $1 billion investment in the company, according to media reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

The investment in Lyft may come from Google or CapitalG, Alphabet's private-equity arm, reports said, citing some of the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are private.

A deal may not come together. Alphabet and Lyft declined to comment.
